Ironwood offers numerous
opportunities for scouts and their families to go outdoors and enjoy
the world around them. Whether you want to come spend the day working
on badge requirements, doing a community service project, or holding
a special scout ceremony, there is sure to be something for you
and your group!
When
you call or email to register, let us know the following information:
- The name of the Badge, Try-It, Patch, or Interest
Project you or your group would like to work on.
- The age group of your scout group.
- The number of scouts expected to attend.
- If you would like to work on the entire Badge,
Try-It, etc. to completion, or if you only wish to complete certain
components.
- The date and time of the program. (*Please
give a first and second choice for dates so that we can do the
best to accommodate your needs.)
- Any special considerations (time constraints,
special needs of your group, etc.)
- Leader’s contact information.
Sample
project ideas include (but are not limited to):
- building an information kiosk
- trail creation or improvement
- plan and run a special event day for other
scouts
- plan and deliver a workshop on something of
importance to you
- run a “Fun Day” for younger scouts
- lead a series of nature walks or talks
- initiate a project, such as building bird
or bat boxes to leave on site .
