                        Scout Groups

Ironwood offers numerous opportunities for scouts and their families to go outdoors and enjoy the world around them. Whether you want to come spend the day working on badge requirements, doing a community service project, or holding a special scout ceremony, there is sure to be something for you and your group!

When you call or email to register, let us know the following information:

  • The name of the Badge, Try-It, Patch, or Interest Project you or your group would like to work on.
  • The age group of your scout group.
  • The number of scouts expected to attend.
  • If you would like to work on the entire Badge, Try-It, etc. to completion, or if you only wish to complete certain components.
  • The date and time of the program. (*Please give a first and second choice for dates so that we can do the best to accommodate your needs.)
  • Any special considerations (time constraints, special needs of your group, etc.)
  • Leader’s contact information.

Sample project ideas include (but are not limited to):

  • building an information kiosk
  • trail creation or improvement
  • plan and run a special event day for other scouts
  • plan and deliver a workshop on something of importance to you
  • run a “Fun Day” for younger scouts
  • lead a series of nature walks or talks
  • initiate a project, such as building bird or bat boxes to leave on site .
